For Western Australian homes

Use your own power at night, not the grid's.

MinSolar are here to help you with all your solar and battery requirements — grid-connected solar paired with LFP battery storage, sized around how your household actually uses power.

Grid-connected solar and LFP battery storage for WA homes

What solar and battery does for a home

Three things, in the order most households care about them.

01

Substantial bill savings

Solar offsets the grid power you would otherwise buy, and the battery lets you use what you generate in the evening instead of selling it back for a few cents.

02

Uninterrupted power supply

LFP battery storage keeps the fridge, the lights, the wi-fi and the important circuits running when the grid drops — so a blackout stops being a whole evening ruined.

03

Lower carbon emissions

Each kilowatt-hour of solar energy generated directly replaces energy that would have been produced through burning coal or gas.

Why a battery changes the whole equation

Most homes are empty when the sun is strongest and busiest after dark. Without storage you sell your solar cheaply at noon and buy it back expensively at six.

A typical day at home, hour by hour

Illustrative example — your real usage is measured during the energy review.

Home usage Solar generation Battery discharge

Relative household usage through the day. The gap between the solar curve and your usage in the middle of the day is surplus — a battery stores it instead of exporting it, then gives it back through the evening peak.

Morning

The house wakes up before the sun is properly working, so this part still comes off the grid or out of last night's storage.

Midday

Nobody's home and generation is at its peak. Without a battery this surplus is exported for a fraction of what you later pay to buy it back.

Evening

Cooking, laundry, screens and lights all land at once, right when solar stops. This is the peak the battery is there to cover.

What the battery keeps running

Which circuits stay on in a blackout is a design decision we make with you. These are the ones households ask for most.

Fridge & freezer

The first thing anyone worries about in a blackout, and the one that costs money if it warms up.

Lights & power points

Enough lighting and general power to keep the evening normal rather than an emergency.

Wi-fi & home office

Modem, router and desk kept alive, so working from home survives an outage.

Hot water

Shift the heating into the middle of the day and run it on your own generation.

Pool pump

One of the biggest loads in a WA home, and one of the easiest to move into daylight.

EV charging

Charge the car on your own solar rather than buying it back from the grid at night.

Medical equipment

CPAP machines and anything else in the house that simply cannot stop overnight.

Security & alarms

Cameras, alarms and gates that stay armed when the street loses power.

From first call to ongoing support

From the initial consultation through professional installation and ongoing support.

01

Free energy review

We look at your bills, your tariff and when your household actually uses power — before anyone talks about panel counts.

02

Design & written proposal

System size, battery size, where the panels sit and what it all returns — on paper, before you commit to anything.

03

Installation

Our own qualified installers, on a day that suits you, tidy on the roof and tidy at the switchboard.

04

Monitoring & support

You can see what your system is producing and storing, and we stay available afterwards — not just until the invoice clears.

Questions homeowners ask

Do I really need a battery, or is solar enough?

If your household uses most of its power during the day, solar alone does a lot of the work. But most homes are empty until late afternoon and busiest after dark — which is exactly when solar stops. The energy review shows you both cases in dollars so you can decide with real numbers.

What actually stays on during a blackout?

That is a design decision we make with you. Usually it is the fridge and freezer, enough lighting to keep the house normal, wi-fi and power points, security, and anything medical that cannot stop. We set the backup circuits up before installation, not afterwards.

What size system does my home need?

That is what the energy review answers. We look at your bills, your tariff and when your household actually draws power, then size the solar and the battery around that — rather than filling the roof and hoping.

I already have solar. Can I just add a battery?

Usually yes. We also see plenty of arrays that were undersized for how the household has grown since — a new baby, a home office, ducted air, an EV. The review covers whether a battery, an array upgrade, or both is the better use of your money.

Will it work with an electric vehicle?

Yes, and it is one of the strongest reasons to size properly. Charging an EV off your own daytime generation instead of buying it back from the grid at night changes the numbers considerably. Tell us if one is on the horizon and we will design for it now.

What if my roof is shaded or awkwardly oriented?

It matters, but it is rarely a dealbreaker on its own. We look at orientation, pitch, shading and available roof space during the review and tell you honestly what your roof can and cannot do before you spend anything.
